The Bitcoin Foundation offers membership recognition to supporters who share our commitment to Bitcoin's decentralized future. Membership is granted at the sole discretion of the Foundation based on contribution amounts - we do not sell memberships. Anonymous membership is available for those who prefer privacy. The Bitcoin Foundation is not associated with any corporations. We maintain complete independence from the developer cartels and corporate interests that currently dominate Bitcoin development. - Lifetime Membership — Secure your permanent place in the Bitcoin Foundation with a lifetime membership. Starting at CHF 5,000. As a lifetime member, you receive perpetual voting rights and recognition on our membership page. Lifetime members demonstrate enduring commitment to Bitcoin's mission and enjoy all benefits without renewal requirements. Anonymous membership is available upon request.
- Organization Membership — Elevate your organization's involvement with the Bitcoin Foundation, valid for 2 years. Starting at CHF 10,000. Organization members receive prominent placement on our website with a dofollow link and logo, and priority access to foundation resources and partnerships. This tier is designed for non-profit organizations, businesses, and groups that want to demonstrate commitment to Bitcoin's decentralized future. Anonymous organization membership is available.

Join the Bitcoin Foundation
Important: A donation is not required to become a member of the Bitcoin Foundation. We evaluate all membership requests individually and may grant membership free of charge at our sole discretion, depending on the applicant's background, contributions to the Bitcoin ecosystem, or other relevant factors.
If your free membership request is not approved, you may still obtain membership by making a donation at one of the tier levels listed above. However, the Bitcoin Foundation reserves the right to issue a final refusal of membership even after a donation is made. In such cases, all funds will be returned in full to the originating Bitcoin address.

If approved for paid membership, send your contribution to our Bitcoin donation address and provide proof of payment by signing a message from the address that sent the contribution. Anonymous membership is available upon request.
